He has designed, managed and overseen numerous comprehensive planning efforts. The work has been effective in helping municipal and non-profit clients create smart urban design policies that foster responsible physical development.
A substantial amount of his professional service has included special area plans, comprehensive neighborhood master plans, transportation enhancement projects, Transit Oriented Development projects, design guidelines and evaluating development schemes provided by private developers. The objective has been to create a balance between sustainability, natural resource preservation, affordability, market demand and community preference.
Co-author of Envisioning Living Environments for People with Mental Illness, a best practices and design guidelines manual, Paul is also a specialist in designing spaces for children. He maintains a commitment to special needs populations through his private practice and in conjunction with over 15 years of volunteer service to community development and human service non-profits.
Paul is a registered architect in Florida, Ohio, Maryland and New Jersey and a graduate of the Kent State University School of Architecture and Environmental Design.
