Eyes on the Street is a place for news, observations, and conversation about Philadelphia’s built environment. We seek to connect PlanPhilly's process and policy coverage with the experience of living in the city.
Here you’ll find discussion about good design, great neighborhoods, vibrant communities, interesting architecture past/present/future, smart planning and development projects, and the many individuals who make those things happen in Philadelphia. It’s also a space where Philadelphians can engage with one another about the built environment of their city.
Our first post, Begin Here, was on September 16, 2011.
Eyes on the Street was launched in 2011 by PlanPhilly, an independent news gathering entity affiliated with PennPraxis, which is the clinical arm of PennDesign. Funding for Eyes on the Street comes through a grant to PlanPhilly from the William Penn Foundation.
Eyes on the Street makes every effort to be fair in its coverage and ensure the information represented on the site is accurate. Opinions expressed here by Ashley Hahn are her own.
