           One of the many noteworthy things happening on May 16th will be the return of former librarian, Joan Wagner. Joan has moved to Colorado but is coming in especially for the event so that she can sign the Burholme book she has been working on for the last 32 years and just published!!!! 

RYERSS MANSION, also known as Burholme Mansion, is a historic mansion in the Fox Chase neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The house was built by merchant Joseph Waln Ryerss in 1859 overlooking Burholme Park, one of the highest vistas in Philadelphia. The mansion is home to a massive and eccentric collection of artifacts and antiquities from around the world, collected during the Ryerss family's extensive travels, from Europe, Africa, and the Far East.

              The front doors of Ryerss Mansion will be thrown wide open on Sunday as the Victorian museum and library welcomes the public to help celebrate its 100th anniversary.
The museum and library, at 7370 Central Ave., was built in 1859 on 85 acres originally as Joseph Waln Ryerss summer home, Burholme.........................
