This summer, students in our Big Picture art education program designed and painted sneakers with the support of the locally based footwear retailer VILLA. We invite you to walk and rally with our students in the City Hall courtyard as they share their artwork to deliver a powerful message about the importance of art education in their lives.
We also invite you to join us in City Hall to view an exhibition of artwork by Mural Corps and Big Picture students. This fall, Mural Corps students explored identity through the creation of short graphic novels and self-portraits. Big Picture students created large-scale, mixed media, collaborative treasure maps that represent each student's ideas about how to "be the change."
