Earth Day turns 40 on Thursday, April 22nd. We're celebrating by dedicating ten new mural-wrapped recycling trucks created in partnership with the City of Philadelphia Department of Streets and The Design Center at Philadelphia University. Mayor Michael Nutter will preside over the dedication to be hosted by the City of Philadelphia Streets Department Recycling Office at 3:00PM in Love Park.
These ten new recycling trucks will join the first ten recycling trucks Mural Arts wrapped in 2009, expanding the fleet of Design In Motion recycling trucks to twenty - nearly one-third of the City of Philadelphia Streets Department's entire fleet of recycling trucks.
