Dedication of Bernice Elza HomesPrint Page

October 21, 2009 - 2:00pm

You are invited to the dedication of our latest permanent supportive housing project on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 2pm.  The Bernice Elza Homes  (3801 Brandywine Street) commemorates the lives of two remarkable women: Bernice Brooks, mother of the Honorable Jannie Blackwell, Philadelphia City Councilwoman, and Elza Guard, mother of Gloria Guard, longtime president of People's Emergency Center.

Bernice Elza Homes is a six-unit affordable rental development that will house teen parents aging out of foster care.  As a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rated project, it has been certified at the silver level and is PEC’s most energy-efficient building to date.

Please RSVP to Noemi Diaz (215) 382-7522 ext. 250 or ndiaz@pec-cares.org.
