Get your Hands Dirty at the 2011 Earth Day of Service - Volunteer for the day & make a local impact with your gift of time or make a donation. - Construct an urban garden at Kensington HS for the Creative & Performing Arts, the first LEED Platinum high school in PA. - OR help paint a mural on site! - Take part in creating a legacy project in Kensington that will serve the community indefinitely. Whether you feel it important to work in the community, advance a worthy cause, or to develop as a person, volunteering offers many benefits - including our appreciation of the gift of your time & expertise. DVGBC Emerging Professionals, Urban Tree Connection, students & teachers from KCAPA High School, New Kensington Community Development Corporation, & City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, will partner in this day of service at the school. The Mayor's Office of Sustainability will be volunteering throughout the day & Mayor Nutter will be in attendance to kick off one of our volunteer shifts!
