Local historian Frank W. Hollingsworth, co-author of “Northeast Philadelphia: A Brief History,” has conducted his research at various sites throughout the region — including the Historical Society of Frankford. Learn of his approach to researching local history — utilizing the many techniques and resources available — and his personal evolution from HSF member, to researcher, to lecturer, co-author, and recognized local historian. This is the Society's Annual Spring Tea - HSF members are encouraged to bring refreshments to share with visitors.
Program meetings are held on the Second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm. Free admission for members and $5 donation at door for non members. Program speakers offer presentations on local history that usually run approximately one hour. Light refreshments are served. Programs are not held in the months of July, August, January and February.
