               re: Northeast Phila. History Fair  -  May 8th  10 - 4:00 pm

                In October 2009 our volunteers held a very successful History Fair. It was held the same day as the 1st Annual N.E. Phila. Hall of Fame. Our partners at Holy Family University were our gracious hosts then and we have been invited back this year. 
                 If you participated in or attended the first History Fair you will recall the energy in the air; the fun people had; and, the overheard murmurs of "when will there be another one of these?"  We are confident of another successful event but it will be dependent on you.
               We are extending an open invitation to all of the historical interests in Northeast Phila. and our neighbors to the North and West. Your history-based organization, your institution (museum, church, etc.), and your personal historical interests, are all welcome to set up a display or table. We want you to have an opportunity to promote your history, to tell your story, to educate others about your favorite historic figure, and to stimulate interest and curiosity in the rich history of Northeast Philadelphia and its environs.
             Talk to your friends, colleagues, congregation, and neighbors. Once you have decided how you would like to participate, contact one of the people listed below. As before, there will be a large number of books available relating to our local history. There will be some new releases this time as well as photos, maps, greeting cards and more. 

                                ( pppssssttt!!  The next day is Mother's Day!!)

               We need participants, of course, but we can also use some volunteers to help promote this event and to assist in setting up & breaking down on May 8th.  We expect to have live music and historic re-enactors. Some tables will be available but, if possible, bring your own to be sure of having one.

             This is an indoor event so....     Rain or Shine
