Orchids of EcuadorPrint Page

January 25, 2012 - 6:00pm - 7:00pm

In Ecuador, 4,000 species of orchids are already classified botanically, but many more await official recognition. Join us as Flower Show exhibitor and orchid hobbyist Maurice Marietti talks about South American orchids. Orchids grow in all ecosystems in Ecuador, but the majority are found in humid cloud forests and rain forests. You can find them growing on trees, on rocks, or rooted in the soil. If you love orchids, you won’t want to miss this very special event.
