The Schuylkill River Heritage Area is looking for volunteers to help out on Tuesday, June 8. Our new PBS documentary, Our National Heritage Episode One: The Revolutionary River is scheduled to air on WHYY on that date at 9 p.m., preceded by an interview with SRHA Executive Director Kurt Zwikl. Since this is during the station's Spring membership drive, a DVD of the film will be offered as a thank you gift that evening. Our organization has been asked to bring 18 volunteers to man the phones from 5:30-11 p.m. at the WHYY studio in Philadelphia. The date chosen is also the evening when the Schuylkill River Sojourn comes to Pottstown, where most of our staff will be busy with that event. Therefore, we are asking our members to help us out. This is a unique opportunity for anyone interested to visit the studio to promote our film and WHYY. Please contact Cindy Kott at 484-945-0200 if you are interested by Wednesday, June 2.
