UCD’s Composting Workshop

Saturday, June 19th, 10am

The Woodlands Cemetery, 4000 Woodland Avenue

(The workshop will be held adjacent to Woodlands Mansion)

Composting is the process of converting organic materials such as leaves, grass clippings, and food scraps into a rich organic material that plants love. At this workshop, an expert from Penn State Cooperative Extension will teach you how to reduce the amount of material that you send to the landfill, while creating compost for your garden in just a few months.

Important: In order to receive a free compost bin, you must include your address when registering for this event. One compost bin per household. Please rsvp at seth@universitycity.org or contact Seth Budick at 215-243-0555 by Friday, June 11.

Please note: Whether you were at last Saturday's green roofs workshop or not, we just posted Jorg’s presentation from the workshop online, along with a link to the Green Roof Handbook. universitycity.org/ucd_programs/neighborhood_initiatives/sustainablity-workshops
