Children (ages five and up, and their parents) will receive a brief introductory lesson about the multistory habitat we call the woods, which animals may live there and how the animals “make their living.” We will take a guided walk in the woods with a scavenger hunt to find various elements important in the woods, starting with the producers, i.e., the plants. We play a game that teaches about the woodland food chain and web. A walk full of adventure and fun. Registration will be held at the La Mott or Rowland Community Centers, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Deadline for sign-up for all classes will be five days prior to class date.
