Global Warming 2009: Taking Action to Build Our Economy and Protect Our Environment

Presenters will explore, from both scientific and economic standpoints, the challenges in combating global warming and the environmental and economic opportunities for taking action. Speakers will also examine state and federal climate legislation from religious and business perspectives.
■ John Rowe, CEO of Exelon;
■ Jerry Melillo, co-chair of the United States Global Climate Change Impacts Assessment, and co-director and senior scientist of The Ecosystems Center at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole;
■ Richard Foltin, legislative director, American Jewish Committee;
■ Joy Bergey, federal programs manager, PennFuture;
■ Brent Alderfer, Community Energy Inc.; and
■ Jan Jarrett, president and CEO of PennFuture
