“Apprai$ing and Financing Green Con$truction”
Center for Architecture, 1218 Arch Street
A major hurdle to green building is the additional upfront cost. These initial costs are quickly recouped during the operation of the building, typically in less than 5 years. Yet appraisers are often unaware of the additional value these improvements create, nor are they willing to evaluate green criteria as a justification for a larger appraisal value. Join the BIA and industry experts as we take on some of the key issues that impede green construction.
