Trees of the Woodlands: A Walking Tour Highlighting Some of the Beautiful and Historic Trees of the Woodlands
The Woodlands is home to one of the most significant collections of trees in the region. Spend the afternoon learning about the history of these trees and the ongoing work to preserve their important history. The tour will be led by David Hewitt and we will be walking extensively around the site, so wear comfortable shoes. David Hewitt is a botanist with an interest in cultivated landscapes and historic plants. He is a research associate in the Botany Department of the Academy of Natural Sciences and does freelance work researching and interpreting cultivated (and uncultivated) environments.
