Join Feet First Philly for a mindfulness walk in East Fairmount Park. Mindfulness brings meditation techniques to our everyday experiences; allowing us to be more fully present in the moment, in touch with our thoughts, emotions, and bodies. This walking meditation will be a slower pace than typical hikes as we slow to fully appreciate our surroundings, a beautiful wooded glen. While we all know the health benefits of walking in general, a mindful walk in nature has the added benefits of lowering blood pressure and stress hormones.
Please wear sturdy footwear, bring water, and a blanket or pillow for sitting.
