Explore African American Historic Sites on Your Computer
The Preservation Alliance has launched a new web resource to help build awareness of African American historic sites in the city. The searchable database of 400+ sites includes churches, schools, businesses, homes and more, with details about architects, building dates, local and national historic designations, and state historic markers. Supported by generous funding from the Samuel S. Fels Fund, the site inventory is part of the Alliance's ongoing African American Outreach initiative. Click here to view the site inventory.
