Designers charrette Festival Pier | Race Street Connector opening | Germantown community benefits agreement | transit treasures | zoning negotiating

This week PlanPhilly has a lot in store: from the Delaware waterfront to Germantown, from the Historical Society of Pennsylvania to the Zoning Code Commission.

  • The Historical Society of Pennsylvania holds a vast transportation collection with records form the city’s earliest public transit companies before their consolidation. Anthony Campisi will dive into the collection and explain the unusual stipulation added by the donor, a history professor and archivist from Wilkes University.
  • Just because City Council finished its zoning code reform hearings doesn’t mean work isn’t going on. Jared Brey is looking into the happenings since the public hearings and in advance of the Zoning Code Commission’s meeting on October 12.

This Just In is where Eyes on the Street previews what’s on tap over on PlanPhilly this week.
