The Magic Gardens is celebrating Dia De Los Muertos all month and kicks its celebration off with a day to decorate the ofrenda (an altar to honor the dearly departed) and create Day of the Dead crafts. Free with admission.

To celebrate National Coming-Out Day, Outfest 2011 is a huge block party with street vendors, flea market, high heel race, dancing and performances - including the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts aerialists. At 2pm a historic marker will be placed at Giovanni's Room, America's oldest LGBT bookstore.
