This summer the City of Philadelphia began testing bike lanes on 13th and 10th streets in Center City. The City is holding an open house on Nov. 2 about the 13th Street bike lane test, and discuss next steps. (Note: The pilot bike lane on 10th Street will be discussed at a separate meeting.)

Gary Hustwit’s new documentary, Urbanized
, looks at the ways design affects urban life, particularly in light of the worlds growing, increasingly urbanized population. The movie features planning projects from around the globe, and interviews some of the world’s great designers and thinkers, as well as citizens reshaping their cities.
