Could a crosstown bus work between South Philly and Market West?

Ever wished there was a bus connecting the Market West area to South Philly east of Broad? Now’s the time to speak up.

The Center City District (CCD), the Mayor’s Office of Transportation and Utilities (MOTU), and SEPTA are curious about the viability of a crosstown bus route, and they’re surveying residents of eastern South Philly about their commuting patterns. No new route is planned, but SEPTA, MOTU, and CCD are testing the waters.

So if you live in Bella Vista, Queen Village, Pennsport, Hawthorne, Washington Square West, Passyunk Square, Dickinson Narrows, Society Hill, or by the Italian Market, and your work zip code is 19102, 19103, 19104, 19130, or 19146 answer the 6-question survey. It could change your commute someday.
