State of the Union Bingo

Tuesday, January 24, 7:30pm. National Constitution Center, 6th and Arch streets. Watch President Obama’s State of the Union while playing bingo. Fill up your card with things the president might say (“economy,” “innovation,” “Arab Spring,” etc.) and play along during the address. Clybourne Park

Opens Thursday, January 26. Arden Theater, 40 N. 2nd Street. The play Clybourne Park tells the story of a house, a neighborhood, and the people living there for more than five decades. The comedy confronts issues of race, class, and gentrification. Clybourne Park won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and it’s playing at the Arden from January 26-March 25. Tickets may be purchased online; single tickets are $29-$45, or for groups of 10+ tickets are $15-$30.

Architecture and Energy: Questions About Performance and Style

Friday, January 27, 2-7:30. PennDesign, Meyerson Hall, 210 S. 34th Street. PennDesign hosts a symposium, in partnership with the Greater Philadelphia Innovation Cluster and Penn State, exploring the intersection of design, style, and building energy-efficiency. $25 for professionals, free for faculty and students but registration is required.
