United By Blue* will host a Schuylkill waterfront cleanup at Bartram’s Garden
on the first Tuesday of every month starting today, from 3:30-5:30pm. Beautifying the banks of the Schuylkill along Bartram’s Garden and removing pounds of trash from our river is a worthy cause in and of itself. And just imagine the stuff you’ll discover along the Schuylkill - evidently tires, vintage electronics are pretty common.
Last year, United by Blue says they removed a total of 2,538 pounds of trash from Bartram's Garden. And, as a reward for your do-gooder ways: There’s a cookout before or after each cleanup, and volunteers who attend three Tuesdays at the River cleanups at Bartram's Garden qualify for a free Bartram's Garden membership
First Tuesday cleanups at Bartram’s Garden (5400 Lindbergh Boulevard) will take place from March to October:
