Spring Mix: springtime in the city photo call

March has come in like a lamb, the clocks have changed, Spring Training is underway, and the idea of winter feels like a distant memory.

I hear the birds in the morning, the cherry trees on my street are in bud, and the daffodils in my park have been open for weeks. At Penn you can tell it’s spring because frat boys have donned their pink pants and are playing frisbee.

So what does spring look like in your neighborhood? Show us how awesomely pretty Philadelphia looks in this gentle season before the wall of humidity and heat hits. Are folks laying out on the Schuylkill Banks like it’s Seaside Heights? Is your local park in bloom? Are neighbors taking to their stoops again? I’m thinking there’s a spring mix slideshow waiting to be born out of your cameras and phones.

Either upload your springy pics to our Flickr page or e-mail them to eots@planphilly.com with “Spring Mix” in the subject. [FYI – photo guidelines here.]

This week’s weather forecast is awesome – not a day hotter than 75 or a night cooler than 45.  So head out for a walkabout and start snapping.
