Last Call: Submit Spring Cleanup project ideas and request a free yard tree

Don’t forget that the deadline to submit your projects for the Philly Spring Cleanup (Saturday, April 14) is Friday, and you can request a free yard tree through Saturday.

Fifth Annual Philly Spring Cleanup:

The deadline to submit projects for this year’s Philly Spring Cleanup is Friday – yes tomorrow – March 30. So hurry up and submit your online application. The city will provide cleanup supplies like trash bags, tools, paint and brushes, and graffiti removal kits. Plus, by registering your project the city can help direct volunteers to pitch in at your project.

It’s also time to request your free yard tree (as opposed to street tree) for TreePhilly‘s free tree giveaways in April. Depending on the size of your yard, you can request smaller varieties like flowering dogwood or eastern redbud, or larger ones like white oak or sugar maple. You can fill out the request form online, but hurry because if you want your tree in April, the deadline is Saturday, March 31.
