Architecture in Film Series: Strangers When We Met

Monday, April 2, 6:30pm, screening begins at 7:15. Philadelphia Center for Architecture, 1218 Arch Street. Check out Richard Quine’s Strangers When We Met (1960), the tale of a listless architect (Kirk Douglas) who falls into an affair with his suburban neighbor (Kim Novak). The monthly series is hosted by John DeFazio, AIA (Architect & Associate Professor at Drexel University) and Nick Grouch, Assoc. AIA. Films begin with a discussion of the relevant themes and elements to notice during the screening and are followed by an informal discussion. Films are generally shown on the first Monday of each month. Join us before every film at 6:30pm for a wine and cheese reception. $5-$10 suggested donation at door.

Visibly Invisible: Cynthia E. Smith: “Design with the other 90%: Cities”
