It's primary day! Head out to your local polling place and vote until 8pm. Don't forget to bring your photo ID, they're not required for this election but you'll be asked to show it.

Today the Philadelphia School District will reveal its course for a complete overhaul, geared at righting the district’s dire financial situation. Among the moves: The closure of 40 schools by September 2013 and then 6 more per year until 2017, reports the Inquirer. Wages/benefits and per-pupil payments to charters are also being restructured.

Should three miles of I-95 be removed, repaired, or replaced? Next American City’s Diana Lind told Flying Kite that a pubic-private study is underway to look at alternative futures for our waterfront highway and the results could be in come fall.

Sunoco could partner with the Carlyle Group to run its Philadelphia refinery, the Inquirer reports. Carlyle Group, a private equity group, is in exclusive talks with Sunoco. Sunoco has extended its shutdown date for the refinery until August.
