Philadelphia LOVE Your Park Week: May 12-19

Do you have a favorite Philadelphia park? Whether your park is on the beaten trail or tucked away in your neighborhood, join the Fairmount Park Conservancy, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society in celebrating Philadelphia’s diverse parks with the “Show us your love” contest and biannual LOVE Your Park Week.

Now through May 10, the partners are accepting entries to the “Show us your love” contest, which calls for video, photo or 300-word or less creative explanations of why you love your park. In return, you’ll be eligible to win prizes ranging from Phillies tickets in a luxury box to tickets to area attractions, Philadelphia Parking Authority PARK Cards, cheesesteak gift packs and more.

To support these favorite parks, LOVE Your Park Week will kick-off on May 12 with a day of park cleaning and service projects at more than 100 locations throughout the city. The May 12, citywide volunteer day is expected to attract more than 1,500 volunteers, and the celebration will continue through May 19 with more than 50 park-centered events, family activities, educational programs and more.

This is the first time the LOVE Your Park celebration will include a full week of events in addition to a single day of park service projects.
