Planning Commission enters new frontier: blogging
We’d like to be among the first to welcome a new addition to our online community: Philadelphia Planeto, the newly launched staff blog for the Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC).
In Philadelphia Planeto’s inaugural post on Monday the unnamed staff blogger offered three of PCPC’s motivations and objectives for blogging: greater governmental transparency, to join and lead discussion about planning, to help demystify the city’s new Comprehensive Plan. “We could not be more proud, impressed, and sometimes frankly mystified as to Philadelphians’ seemingly boundless appetite for news about the smallest bits of plannerly minutia.” Hear, hear.
Please join us in welcoming PCPC to the neighborhood, PCPC. We probably should bring over a casserole.
