Northeast Corridor High-Speed Rail Open House

Monday, August 20, 4:30-7:30pm. 1234 Market Street, Mezzanine Level. Federal rail planners come to Philly on Monday to talk about the route and scope of the proposed high-speed rail enhancement project for the Northeast Corridor. Come any time between 4:30-7:30 to view informational displays, speak with project staff, or offer comments. There will be a presentation at 5:30pm by the staff. Free.

Thursday, August 23, 7-9pm. Cliveden Carriage House, 6401 Germantown Avenue. Join Bill Bolger of the National Park Service in conversation about how National Historic Landmarks – like Cliveden – can more accurately reflect the nation’s diverse heritage. Free.

Schuylkill Banks Movie Night: Moneyball

Thursday, August 23, 7:45-10:20pm. Schuylkill Banks at the Walnut Street Bridge.  Moneyball is the second-to-last screening of the summer at Schuylkill Banks. There will be a raffle with prizes from Philadelphia Runner, and refreshments (first-come, first-served) provided by Dranoff Properties. Screening starts at dusk. Free.
