A photography exhibition at Art in the Age will showcase images of Furness' banks - demolished and surviving - and on the sites of several Furness-designed banks

Saturday, October 6, 12-5pm. Penn Treaty Park, 1199 N. Delaware Ave. Join Fishtown Neighbors Association for the fifth annual River City Festival in Penn Treaty Park. The day kicks off with a 5k with the Monster Milers, and will continue with a full afternoon of live music and plenty of family-friendly activities. Fishtown Neighbors Association will also be hosting a major membership drive, and donors of over $20 get access to a hospitality tent with prime seating and views of the concert stage a bottomless cup of beverages from Philadelphia Brewing Company and St. Benjamin's Brewing.
Saturday, October 6, 1-4pm. Meet at pocket park on the 2000 block of Frankford Ave near Norris St., across from Rocket Cat. Head out on a sustainability walking tour of Fishtown and Kensington, stopping at green buildings, community gardens, and urban farms and finishing with a party at Memphis Taproom. The tour is part of Young Involved Philadelphia's
State of Young Philly events, and will be guided by the woman behind PhillyLoveNotes, Emma Fried-Cassorla.
