Peter Calthorpe: Reflections on Urbanisms: New, Traditional, and Global
Monday, October 8, 6pm. PennDesign, Meyerson Hall Lower Gallery, 210 South 34th St. Peter Calthorpe, one of America's most influential planners, will stop by PennDesign Monday evening for a talk titled "Reflections on Urbanisms: New, Traditional, and Global." And the man's worth listening to. Over the course of his 30-plus year career in planning, Calthorpe has been intimately involved in the New Urbanism, developed the concept of transit-oriented development, and written widely on integrated metropolitan planning as a means to revive cities and incorporate suburbs. Free.
