As the area around 46th and Market changes - thanks to the new Youth Study Center, a branch of Children’s Hospital, and the future headquarters of the Philadelphia Police Department – how can this emerging health and services district also serve neighbors? A design charrette from 8am-4pm will explore ways to create a sustainable community at 46th and Market, and the public reveal and reception will take place at 4pm. Register online

Saturday, November 17, 11am-5pm. Meet at Fairmount Water Works.
The ride will set out from the Fairmount Water Works, and traverse the city with a lunch stop at Penn Treaty Park for a BYO picnic with the Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia, then ending at Rembrandt’s in Fairmount. Sport your finest tweed – blazers, caps (helmets?!), knickers – and compete for prizes as the most Dapper Chap, Snappy Lass, Marvelous Mustache, Magnificent Millinery, and Stylish Steed. Riders are asked to donate $1 (or more) for Philabundance.
