Shiny new Silverliner Vs spotted above Penn Park

As Christine Fisher reported last week, SEPTA’s (long-awaited) order of 120 Silverliner V rail cars is complete and the final cars are making their way onto regional rail lines now.

Proof positive:  Earlier this week PlanPhilly’s eagle-eyed Managing Editor Matt Golas spotted these Silverliner V cars being pulled by a CSX engine along the high line above Penn Park on their way from the Hyundai-Rotem plant in South Philly to begin their lifetime of SEPTA service.
