Night Market season begins in Fairmount on May 16

Attention foodies and neighborhood explorers: The Food Trust’s Night Market will return for the season on Thursday, May 16, taking over a section of Fairmount Avenue from 6-10pm.

More than 50 food vendors will line Fairmount Avenue from 19th to 24th Streets, selling treats from poutine to popsicles, mac and cheese to macaroons. Joining the cavalcade of food trucks will be newcomers like The Tot Cart (yes, a tater-tot-centric truck) and The Cow and the Curd (yes, a cheese-curd-centric truck). It’s the first time Night Market has come to Fairmount, and several of the neighborhood’s restaurants will also set up stalls, including Lemon Hill, Rembrandt’s, London Grill, and Alla Spina. Yards Brewing Company will be manning the beer tents.

Rounding out the evening: art at Eastern State Penitentiary, circus performers in the street, and live music aplenty.

Night Market Fairmount, Thursday, May 16, 6-10pm. Fairmount Avenue from 19th to 24th streets. Pay as you go.
