LISTEN: Fantastic Fridays @ Penn Treaty Park

Friday, August 9, 6:30pm. Penn Treaty Park, 1341 North Delaware Avenue. Bring a blanket and picnic and enjoy an evening at Penn Treaty Park listening to Stars Apart and watching fireworks over the Delaware. Free.

WATCH: Ghostbusters @ The Oval

Friday, August 9, 8:30pm – 11pm, Eakins Oval, 2601 Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! Watch this 80s classic at the Oval this evening. Free.

FAIR: Pennsylvania Dutch Festival

Saturday, August 10th, 8am – 5pm, Reading Terminal Market, 11th and Arch Streets. The 24th annual Pennsylvania Dutch Fest at Reading Terminal Market will culminate on Saturday by taking the festival outdoors onto Arch Street to create a country fair in the city. Enjoy Amish buggy rides around the blocks surrounding the market, traditional foods, a petting zoo and live bluegrass music. Free.

RACE: Southeast Asian Dragon Boat Festival

Saturday, August 10, Noon – 8pm, Penn’s Landing Marina. Celebrate and learn about the tradition of Dragon Boat Racing and see boats in action. There will also be Southeast Asian-inspired traditional entertainment, as well as the Miss Southeast Asia Pageant. Free.

FEST: Bug Fest

Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11, 10am – 5pm both days, Academy of Natural Sciences, 1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Come into close contact with creepy crawlers of all sorts invade during Bug Fest. Touch a tarantula, watch the roach race, see bugs camouflage themselves, and more. Free with admission.
