Friday, April 11. 2pm - 6pm. Liberty Lands Park, 900 Block N 3rd Street. Join the City and a bunch of "N3RDs" for the official naming ceremony of N3RD Street. As part of a campaign to recognize the concentration of tech and design companies located on North Third Street in Old City and Northern Liberties the City has agreed to recognize this new moniker. Today's event is part of Philly Tech Week 2014 and includes a BBQ in Liberty Lands Park. Free.
Saturday, April 12. 11am - 5pm. Main Street from Green Lane to Shurs Lane, Manayunk. More than 30 of Philly's favorite food trucks will line up for this April's Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival Saturday. More than 20 artisan vendors will set up shop on the street, and liver performances will continue throughout the day. Pay as you go.
Saturday, April 12. 1pm - 4pm. Pachella Pavillion, Wissahickon Park. Mountain bike hall of famer Jacquie Phelan will teach a 3-hour beginner-friendly mountain biking clinic for women this Saturday. The clinic is free but limited to 35 people. Attendees should bring their own mountain bike and helmet. Register online.
Sunday, April 13. 11am - 4pm. Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch Street. The third annual Philly Farm & Food Fest will fill the Pennsylvania Convention Center annex with local foods, food artisans, farm-to-table restaurants, local beer & spirits, and a sustainable business showcase. More than 150 vendors have registered for this years event. That's more than double the size of last year. Cost: $20 in advance, $25 at the door, free for children 12 and under.
Sunday, April 13. 9:30am - 5pm. Horticulture Center, Fairmount Park, Montgomery Drive & Belmont Avenue. As the grand finale to this year's Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival, Fairmount Park hosts a day-long celebration of Japanese culture. Japan's Tamagawa Taiko Drum & Dance group will lead the entertainment. Guests are invited to visit the Sakura Pavilion and tour the Shofuso Japanese House & Garden. Cost: Adults $10, Children 12 and under free.
Sunday, April 13. 9am. Ferko Playground, 1101 Cayuga Street. What better place to take a jog this Sunday than Tacony Creek Park. TTF Watershed Partnership, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Philadelphia Water Department and the Scattergood Foundation are hosting a 5K walk/run from Ferko Playground, through the park and back to I Street & Ramona Avenue. Registration is available at HealthyTrails5K.com or at the starting line at 8am. Runners start at 9am. Walkers start at 9:30. Cost: $20.
