Election season is a time for fresh ideas and urbanist groups of every stripe are advancing platforms with their takes on making Philadelphia a stronger, more livable, and equitable city. As part of PlanPhilly's election coverage, Eyes on the Street is going to spend time at the intersection of advocacy and policy with folks who know a thing or two about working to make Philly a better city for all.
This week, we’ll kick off an op-ed series focused on this election’s urbanist platforms, presented by professionals and citizen experts who know these issues intimately. They’ll help unpack ideas for better mobility, equitable development, quality public spaces, good government, and beyond - and explain why you, mayoral hopefuls, and members of City Council should care. We’re also sharing Streetviews, a video Q&A series with some of Philly’s many bright, neighborhood, design, and nonprofit leaders to get their take on the city's extraordinary potential and most persistent challenges.
So join us as we wrestle with many answers to this central question: What kind of city do we want to be?
