Draft district plans for Lower South and West Park draft plans introduced
The City Planning Commission released their first draft district plans for West Park and Lower South in a public meeting on Tuesday. The drafts include zoning code changes, future land-use plans and infrastructure improvements to bring in new developments. [Philadelphia Neighborhoods]

Parkside: Local Group Plans for Future Sustainable Development
In 2009 East Parkside Community Revitalization Corp teamed up with Habitat for Humanity and Wallace Roberts & Todd to build seven LEED-certified, affordable rowhomes, and they’re ready to build more. EPCRC’s Robert Cousar explains, “Green does work. If you apply sustainable building practices to housing, especially affordable housing, you’re giving people more disposable income without having to give them more money.”
