Foxwoods' request for more time to respond to the call to revoke the casino's gaming license has been denied.

On April 29, after the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board rejected an agreement that would have given Foxwoods six more months to produce drawings, site plans and a financial agreement for its proposed South Philadelphia project, the board's chief enforcement officer filed a complaint recommending the casino's license be revoked. 

The board won't make a decision regarding the license until Foxwoods files a response, which is due June 1.  Last week, Foxwoods filed a request for additional time to respond.  The request says that Foxwoods needs more time because the organization was thrown for a loop when casino mogul Steve Wynn pulled out of a deal with them, and that they have to prepare for another court case before the response is due, and that extra time is warranted when the very license is at stake.

But Monday the board's hearings and appeals officer denied that request.
