Phila. Redevelopment Authority database and map of property holdings, coupled with a streamlined sales process – has been in the works for over a year. While the initiative represents administration’s most notable achievement to date in Philadelphia’s long-running fight against blight, new policy makes no mention of acquisition. Front Door is not a land bank and the Nutter administration remains non-committal on proposed legislation. Design Advocacy Group meeting promises to be a really interesting conversation about City Council’s land bank proposal and the Nutter administration’s “Front Door” strategy for dealing with vacant property disposition.
