Bartram's Garden is hiring a Development Coordinator

Bartram’s Garden seeks a well-organized and highly motivated Development Coordinator to support our growing organization and expanding audience through effective donor cultivation, event management, and fundraising. This is a full-time position that will report to the Director of Annual Giving.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Facilitating the annual gala and smaller year-round cultivation and fundraising events
  • Growing corporate sponsorship through volunteer activities and targeted partnerships
  • Supporting expanded individual giving program with back-office support for prospect research, major gifts, and volunteers
  • Sustaining the cyclical range of development operations, including donor acknowledgments, scheduling, database management, some grant-writing and reporting, and light administrative support

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Passion for the mission of Bartram’s Garden and for working with diverse partners and audiences, including board members, donors, volunteers, and members
  • Ability to approach work holistically and to communicate priorities as part of a close team
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in philanthropy, event planning, and/or volunteer management
  • Familiarity with donor database software like Raiser’s Edge and facility with the MS Office suite
  • Must be flexible to work evenings or weekends when hosting scheduled special events
