Richmond Power Plant
One of two riverfront sites selected by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Sits on 22.6 acres in Northern Liberties at Delaware Avenue and Shackamaxon Street.
Only one building remains of the once world-famous Cramps Shipyard, and it’s about to be torn down.

A suggested get together with the Las Vegas casino mogul to familiarize him with the Civic Vision for the Central Delaware creates friction among advocacy group members.

Council's committee on the rules unanimously passes along amendment that would eliminate height restrictions along seven blocks of the Central Delaware. Casino properties in the CED may be exempted.

Casino concern is still planning on a late Summer of 2010 opening. If Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approves, about 40 tables with craps, roulette and blackjack will also debut.
