The Inky's Joe DiStefano reports that the streets surrounding Temple University are being transformed with an influx of new student housing projects, financed not by banks, but by speciality real estate financiers like Llenrock Group L.L.C, which hopes to finance 400 units between Diamond and Master Streets. And though these homes look like traditional Philadelphia rowhomes, developers like Insight Development are using prefabricated, modular building materials that go up fast—in 24 hours, developers say.
