More information about UCD's Commercial Corridors program:
UCD works to improve the economic vitality of commercial corridors in University City, including Lancaster Avenue from 34th to 38th Streets and Baltimore Avenue from 45th to 50th Streets with generous grants from The William Penn Foundation and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation.
UCD has staff dedicated to overseeing business recruitment and retention activities and coordinating promotional events on the Corridors. The goal of the program is to increase the vitality of our commercial corridors by improving the retail mix and encouraging businesses to locate in our neighborhood shopping districts. The program includes matching grants for façade improvements, architectural design assistance, and technical assistance for those starting a business or those seeking to improve their existing business.
