Mayor Michael A. Nutter is hosting the Mayor’s Institute for City Design (www.micd.org) from Feb. 12 -14, where mayors from across the country gather to work  with leading design professionals to study their cities’ most pressing planning issues.  To give the public  an opportunity to hear from some of the talent coming from across the country, the Philadelphia City Planning Commission, PennPraxis, the Academy of Natural Sciences and other partners will host the following event:

Mayor Joseph P. Riley of Charleston, SC and founder of the Mayor’s Institute for City Design will speak to  his cities experience in preservation and redevelopment.  Mayor Riley will be introduced by Mayor Michael A. Nutter, and joined by other participating mayors from throughout the US.
