Classical Architecture Lecture Series
Five Saturdays, beginning September 12

The Classical Architecture lecture series explores the architectural styles which have influenced 2,000-plus years of building design. Presented on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., this series provides a fun and in-depth exploration of the history of architecture and building techniques.

Participants are a lively and diverse group from a wide range of backgrounds and professions, from architecture enthusiasts to design professionals, and lay people to business people.

September 19: Medieval Architecture: Romanesque & Gothic, Paula Spilner, Ph.D., Drexel University

September 29: Renaissance & Baroque Architecture, Paula Spilner, Ph.D., Drexel University

October 3: Palladian & English Architecture, Paula Spilner, Ph.D., Drexel University

October 12: Building Materials & Technologies, TBA

 

Cost:
Members of AIA Philadelphia, the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks: $100 series/$25 per lecture
General public: $125/$30 per lecture
Young professionals (under 35): $50 series/$15 per lecture
